1. Selection Process Overview
The recruitment is conducted in three distinct stages:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & PST: Qualifying in nature (Running and body measurements).
- Written Examination: Objective Type (MCQs).
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Practical exam to test computer skills.
2. Detailed Written Exam Pattern
The written exam consists of 150 Marks to be completed in 2 Hours. It is divided into five parts:

3. Subject-Wise Syllabus
A. Technical Subjects (60 Marks)
This is the most critical section. It covers topics from Electronics, Communication, and IT:
- Electronic Devices: P-N Junction, Zener Diode, BJT, JFET, MOSFET, LED.
- Digital Circuits: Boolean Algebra, Logic Gates, Flip-Flops, Counters.
- Computer Networks: OSI Model, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Network Security, Firewalls.
- Communication Engineering: AM, FM, PM, Pulse Modulation, Digital Communication.
- Microprocessors: 8085 Architecture, Programming, and 8051 Microcontrollers.
B. General Knowledge & Grammar
- GK: Gujarat History & Geography, Constitution of India, Sports, and Panchayati Raj.
- Gujarati: Vocabulary, Idioms, and Literature.
- English: Tenses, Active/Passive Voice, Synonyms/Antonyms.
4. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
Candidates who clear the written exam are called for the CPT.
